I used to be a builder and the quality of Lovell is really good – Retired couple discuss bungalow living at Wymondham

Derek Bradnam (83), his wife Sandra (81) and their dog Laila are enjoying life at the Lovell William’s Park development in the charming market town of Wymondham. The couple moved into their new build bungalow in 2021 on a street that Derek describes as “the best road on site.”

Derek, who is known well by the local community on his daily walks with Laila, was a builder before he retired and once built his own house, meaning he knows everything there is to know about homes. Lovell passed the quality test, as Derek describes: “The quality of Lovell is really very good and we really like the layout of our new home. It has been a really smooth process, from reserving to buying, completing and moving in. The team have been great including Richard from the site who lent us some skips when we did the garden. We’re very happy here and we like how quiet it is, and the neighbours are really friendly too.”

The couple have turned one of the rooms in the three bedroom bungalow into an office and used the other as a spare room for when family or friends come to stay. Derek and Sandra, who have explored the whole of the British coastline and lived in Suffolk and more recently Great Yarmouth, chose to move to Wymondham to be closer to their daughter. Derek said: “We’ve both had some health problems so wanted to be close to family to help us. We need a bungalow for easy living and Wymondham is a fantastic area. Barnham Broom is nearby where I play golf and everything is in easy reach for us.”

Our William’s Park development of stunning two, three, four and five bedroom homes and three bedroom detached bungalows is situated in the popular town of Wymondham, less than 12 miles from Norwich city centre.
