From 100-year-old house to new build bungalow for former nurse as she moves to Lovell Homes site at Wymondham

Properties at William’s Park at Wymondham have been snapped up by buyers with bungalows proving very popular at the Lovell site with all ages. Frieda Christer, aged 74, moved to William’s Park in 2021 after mobility issues forced her to leave her 100-year-old home and move to a bungalow.

Frieda, a former nurse, says: “It is the first time I have lived in a bungalow but it is great as everything I need is on one level with easy access. I was worried about choosing a new build after living in an old house but it has been good as it hasn’t required any work – everything is new and ready. It is also really light, open and spacious. Another plus was that they put grass down in the garden.”

Frieda already lived in Wymondham and wanted to stay in the area, as she says Wymondham has a real sense of community. Frieda adds: “I am part of the local WI group and helped set up the darts club. My life is in Wymondham and I go to a book club and exercise class here. I’ve been lucky with my neighbours as they are all so lovely. I have a cup of coffee with a few of them and know they are there if I need them.”

Frieda has used one bedroom for a piano room and office, and one as a spare room, which she needs with one daughter, three sons and 11 grandchildren. Freida has been very pleased with the service she received from Lovell throughout, as she continues: “Everything has been really straightforward and easy with the buying process. I just had one small issue with plumbing but it was resolved very quickly, with Lovell responding and sorting it straight away.”

Our William’s Park development of stunning two, three, four and five bedroom homes and three bedroom detached bungalows is situated in the popular town of Wymondham.
