Getting onto the property ladder can be challenging for Army, Navy and RAF personnel, but help is at hand with the Forces Help to Buy scheme.
This Ministry of Defence initiative is designed to help military personnel to buy their first property enabling serving personnel to borrow up to 50% of their salary up to a maximum £25,000, as a deposit and towards moving costs such as solicitor’s fees.
The loan can be repaid over a period of 10 years and a number of repayment options are available.
