Construction work has begun this month on a new housing development in Brewood in Staffordshire, bringing 73 new homes to this popular village.

Located off Engleton Lane, Somerford Park will create a stylish collection of traditional one, two, three and four-bedroom homes.

Providing a mix of 43 high-quality homes for open market sale as well as a further 30 homes for shared ownership, the development’s design includes elements of Georgian, Victorian and Tudor architecture, with inspiration taken from the surrounding areas.

There are also plans for a new high-quality public open space and a £30,000 contribution towards the improvement of leisure/sporting facilities in Brewood village.

Stuart Penn, regional managing director for Lovell, said: “We’re thrilled to be starting construction on 73 new homes in the sought-after village of Brewood, which will offer such a wide variety of multi-tenure homes to Staffordshire.

“This project will bring a number of benefits to the local economy and community by providing a significant number of training and job opportunities, whilst investing in the future with improvements to facilities in the local area.”

The proposed site is situated in the picturesque and historical village of Brewood, within close proximity to local amenities as well as providing access to major transport links such as the M6, M54 and M6 Toll.
