Susie talks interiors and styling our new King’s Lynn show home

Our Lovell team has for the first time designed and styled the interiors on a show home on our new development at Nar Valley Park at King’s Lynn.

While we would normally work with an exteriors company to style our show homes, we got our own team on this one and also
reused the furniture at our Holt show homes to decorate the King’s Lynn show home in Nar Ouse. And what an amazing job they have done – it looks simply stunning!

While it was a group effort from several members of the Lovell team, we caught up for a chat with Sowerbys’ New Homes Property Specialist, Susie Hamilton, who will be familiar to visitors at Heath Farm in Holt as she has been on the site for the past four years.

The show home now available to view at Nar Valley Park is the popular three bed Lansdown. This stylish and beautifully presented home includes an en-suite bedroom, as well as French doors leading to the rear private garden

Here Susie describes the process of styling our stunning new show home…

“There are so many aspects to the role of being a New Homes Property Specialist, all of which are enjoyable, but one of the best parts of my role at Holt, as well as meeting our purchasers and guiding them through the purchase, is to help them with their selections for kitchen units, wall tiles, flooring etc. Natasha Baring at Lovell knew that I had previously designed gardens and attended an interior design course several years ago, and asked if I would be interested in styling the Nar Valley Park show home.

“The show home at Nar Valley Park is the same style of house as we have here at Heath Farm, so I knew what the house was like regarding layout and size. As the Heath Farm site is nearing completion, I was very lucky to be able to select furniture from the show homes, which helps to decide colours to compliment the house style and furniture chosen, allowing them to imagine that they lived in the house.

“The kitchen/dining area is one my favourite rooms, being bright and spacious which complimented the grey and white walls and feature patterned yellow curtains. The living room takes on a different feel with a dark blue wall and dark blue curtains, making it a pleasant relaxing area. Upstairs, the main bedroom has an inviting luxurious feel with a feature wall.  The second double bedroom is a bright room having with denim walls and finally the third bedroom has a day bed and desk to show that it can be used as a bedroom or home office.

“As mentioned, it has been a team effort with Adrian Garrood at Lovell choosing the light fittings and  help from the site team painting feature walls, hanging mirrors, pictures and curtains.

“I am open to offers to do again! Nar Valley Park is a brilliant site and people can walk into town and have great walks on their doorstep – the quay is gorgeous. Plus, you also get a good amount of house for your money in the area too. Hailey is doing a great job already selling the homes here.”
