Popular Canton development down to final apartment

Lovell Homes is encouraging young professionals and first-time buyers in Cardiff to enquire about the final remaining apartment at its popular The Mill development in Canton.

Located on Sanatorium Road, Aubrey House is the fourth and final apartment block at The Mill, offering one two-bedroom apartment available to move into for Christmas. This will be the final chance to purchase a brand-new apartment at The Mill.

This ground floor apartment is priced at £193,495 and benefits from a spacious, open-plan kitchen/dining/living room, featuring French doors leading onto outdoor space.

Two-bedrooms, a bathroom and airing cupboard complete the home, providing plenty of space. Bedroom one is finished off with a private en-suite for an added luxurious appeal.

Nick Hirons, who recently purchased an apartment at The Mill, said: “The Mill development is such a find, and my new apartment perfectly suits my needs. It’s just out of the city, so nice and quiet, but close enough to walk into town and the train station.”

Julie Bowen, regional sales director at Lovell, said: “The apartments at The Mill have been exceptionally successful, especially with first-time buyers. Aubrey House is our final apartment block at the development and with only one apartment remaining for sale, I’d encourage any potential purchasers to enquire without delay.”

The spacious apartment can be purchased using the Government-backed Help to Buy Wales: Equity Loan scheme, meaning that only a 5% deposit is required. The remaining amount is made up with a 75% mortgage and a 20% equity loan, which is interest free for the first five years.

Homebuyers can also save when purchasing a home at The Mill, with new rules stating that there will be no Land Transaction Tax (Stamp Duty) to pay on properties up to the value of £250,000, on all sales taking place before 31st March 2021.

The Mill is creating a new urban village in Cardiff by bringing 800 contemporary homes to the former Arjo Wiggins paper mill site. They include 358 homes for open market sale by Lovell and 442 homes for rent – which will be managed by Cadwyn Housing Association – for the Tirion Group. The scheme is going ahead with the support of the Welsh Government and financial backing from the Principality Building Society, and is being developed by the Tirion Group in partnership with Lovell.

Following the recent announcement of further lockdown restrictions across Wales, appointments at The Mill will temporarily be taking place remotely. For further information and to book your appointment, visit www.mill-canton.co.uk, or call the sales team on 02920 601 598.
