A new housing development by housebuilder Lovell on Matlock Avenue has been officially opened by the Mayor of the Borough of Telford and Wrekin.

Councillor Rae Evans cut a ribbon to mark the official opening of The Oaklands development and two show homes, which are now on view to local homebuyers.

The Mayor said: “I was honored to have been asked to be part of the official opening of the new show rooms of The Oaklands development.

“It’s fantastic that Lovell Homes are continuing to provide quality homes within the Borough and I very much enjoyed visiting the new development during my time in office.

“I hope to see Lovell continue to grow and look forward to seeing further developments in years to come.”

Michelle Barnsley, Field Sales Manager at Lovell Homes, said: “The feedback was very positive from the visitors who attended the opening. Many said that the houses are very spacious and the specification is of a really good standard, giving customers value for their money.”

The two show homes at the development are The Oaklands: Plot 10, a two bedroom Weston style home and Plot 11, a three bedroom Westwood style home.

Three bedroom homes are now available for sale on the open market from £164,950, with homes ready to move into this summer 2017. 47 homes will be available for rent from Nuplace.

Telford has excellent transport links with the M54 and A5 offering road links to the East and West, making this development ideal for commuters.
