Lovell Homes has recently launched the marketing suite and three-bedroom showhomes at its popular Golwg Y Bryn development in Ebbw Vale.

Located at Blue Lake Close in Bryn Serth, on the town’s north-western outskirts, Golwg Y Bryn is a sought-after collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes.

The recent festive launch event, which took place at the weekend, featured a special performance from the Ebbw Vale Male Choir, mulled wine and mince pies for all guests to enjoy before exploring the new three-bedroom Lansdown and three-bedroom Lambourne style showhomes.

Julie Bowen, regional sales director at Lovell, said: “We are very excited to have launched our marketing suite and stunning three-bedroom showhomes at Golwg Y Bryn, which is the first new homes development in Ebbw Vale in over ten years.

“Golwg Y Bryn has been extremely popular so far with nine reservations made off-plan, a further nine early bird reservations, with an additional two taken this weekend. I’d encourage any potential purchasers to get in touch with the sales team as we don’t anticipate that these homes will be around for long.”

The development is in partnership with Melin Homes, Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council and the Welsh Government, with 70 homes available for open market sale through Lovell Homes and 30 affordable homes comprising social rent and low-cost home ownership.

Paula Kennedy, Chief Executive at Melin Homes, said: “By working in collaboration, we can offer people the chance to buy a high-quality home through a shared equity scheme. This makes home ownership a possibility for people who may be struggling to buy through traditional routes. We will also be providing Blaenau Gwent residents with affordable rented accommodation and offering all the supporting services, which help us to create thriving communities.”

Councillor Dai Davies, Executive Member for Regeneration at Blaenau Gwent Council, commented: “I am delighted to see the Golwg Y Bryn housing development officially opened which brings a variety of open market, affordable and low-cost home ownership to Blaenau Gwent. This is proof of effective partnership working and we look forward to our continued success.”

Construction work on the £16.8 million housing development began back in July and the first homes are expected to be ready to move into in January 2020.

Situated within a mile of Ebbw Vale’s thriving centre, the site has excellent access links to the town’s train station, which offers regular direct services to Cardiff and the A465 Heads of the Valleys road.

It also located three miles from Festival Park Shopping Centre, which boasts a selection of 40 shops, cafes and restaurants.

Current availability at Golwg Y Bryn includes two and three-bedroom homes priced from £137,995.
