Local housebuilder Lovell Homes has donated £500 to the Greetham Church Village Fete, Greetham, Rutland. The donation will be used to hire attractions, produce publicity materials and provide catering services.
The fete, which will be held on 13th July between 12 noon and 4pm at Greetham Community Centre, is guaranteed to be a fun-filled
day for all the family! Highlights you don’t want to miss include performances from the Rutland Morris Men and a very popular dog show.
There will be something to entertain every one at the fete. For those who want to dust off their skills, there will be a golf game and a ‘slow bike ride’. Children can enjoy the bouncy castle and bargain-hunters will be thrilled at the selection of jewellery, books and plants for sale at various stalls. Everyone can relax and have a tasty bite to eat, treats include a BBQ, homemade cakes and a licensed bar for the duration.
Last year’s fete raised £3,500 and the goal for this year is to continue to raise the bar.
Lovell Homes have been very involved in supporting the local church over the past two years, last year, the housebuilder donated £3000 to help fix the church roof.
A Spokesperson for Greetham Church said: “Thank you so much Lovell for the continued support that has been given to our local church efforts. Churches are very expensive to maintain so we sincerely appreciate all of the time and effort that has been given to help improve and maintain our church.
“This generous contribution will help offset our costs so hopefully it will be easier to achieve our donation target. The Church is very much looking forward to hosting the community on the day.”
