Lovell Homes Southern, a partnership housing division of the £3 billion Morgan Sindall Group, has secured a new site in Sparkford, South Somerset.
The site, bought from Land Value Alliance, is for 36 units. Lovell Homes will now look to submit plans which will detail its outline designs for 2,3- and 4-bedroom homes as well as some bungalows.
If all goes well the planning process, the company is hoping to be building on-site in the summer. Regional managing director at Lovell Homes Southern, Andrew Johnston, said: “This will be a fabulous small development in a highly desirable part of the county.”
Andrew added: “Our main business objectives are to build much needed, new private and affordable homes in the south west, invest in the communities in which we are working and employ local subcontractors further re-investing in the region.”
Jake Gresswell, head of land and development at Lovell Homes Southern, added: “We have a great delivery model with ambitions to grow the business and invest in the region. This demonstrates commitment to that strategy as well as to the wider housing sector.
