Leading developer Lovell Homes has revealed its top three reasons why Somerset property seekers should consider its beautiful Keepers Gate development in Weston-super-Mare.

Located off Wentwood Drive, Keepers Gate is a desirable collection of three and four-bedroom homes, with properties surrounded by stunning, far stretching landscapes.

Julie Bowen, regional sales director at Lovell, said: “We’re thrilled at how popular Keepers Gate has been, and we now only have three homes remaining to move into for 2020. Here are our top three reasons to consider making a move to this bespoke development, and avoid missing out on these wonderful properties.”

  1. No Stamp Duty to pay
With the Stamp Duty holiday coming to an end on 31st March 2021, this is the last chance homebuyers have to save up to £15,000 when purchasing a home at Keepers Gate, with Government rules stating that there will be no Stamp Duty to pay on properties up to the value of £500,000.

Julie added: “The current pandemic has been a huge financial burden for many households, and with the maximum saving of £15,000 buyers are able to invest more on other costs, such as furniture, interior design and décor; all things that make a new home feel like yours as soon as you step over the threshold.”
  1. Benefit from the Government-backed Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme
The current Help to Buy scheme is available until 31st March 2021, and both existing homeowners and first-time buyers can benefit. The final three homes available to move into this year at Keepers Gate benefit from the current Help to Buy scheme, meaning purchasers could be settled in their new home before Christmas.

Currently, the properties at the development can be purchased with just a 5% deposit using the scheme. The remaining amount is made up from a 75% mortgage and a 20% equity loan, which is interest-free for the first five years.

From 1st April 2021, there will be a new Help to Buy scheme which will see regional price caps brought into effect, with the South West of England limited to homes priced up to £349,000. It will also be available to first-time buyers exclusively, and run until March 2023.
  1. Enjoy life in a stunning location
Keepers Gate is perfectly located in the beautiful sought-after Bleadon Hill area. It benefits from breath-taking views across Weston-super-Mare and Mendip Hill AONB to the east, which is a large range of limestone hills known for its countless grasslands, wooded valleys and a wide array of plants and wildlife.

Julie commented: “Keepers Gate really is a beautiful development; many purchasers have commented on the stunning views from their home. At a time where people are now spending more time at home, having such wonderful sights from your window is more appreciated than ever.”

The development also boasts shops, schools and transport all within easy reach. Only around half an hour away from Bristol by train, and in easy reach of Bath and Taunton via the M5, Keepers Gate is ideal for commuters.

Keepers Gate is open by appointment only, 10am – 5pm seven days a week. For further information contact the sales team on 01934 330 439.
