Children at Little Pickles Pre-school in Branston have received high-vis vests from local housebuilder Lovell Homes, to help them stay safe to mark Road Safety Week, this week (19th – 23rd November).
Lovell Homes is currently building at The Spires development just off Moor Lane, bringing a selection of 47 high quality two, three and four-bedroom homes to the area.
Each child at Little Pickles was given a high-vis vest to wear whilst walking to and from the pre-school, making it easier for them to be seen on the road during the darker months.
Jodie Cook, Manager at Little Pickles Pre-school said: “We would like to thank Lovell Homes for the kind donation of the high-vis equipment. We try to encourage as many of our pupils to walk to school and these will aid their safety.
“The high-vis jackets will get lots of use from the children, including walks around the village and when walking the children to the junior school and back.
Toni Boden, regional sales manager for Lovell said: “Road Safety week is such a great initiative and we are so pleased we were able to participate in this through donating to Little Pickles.
“We want to urge pupils to keep safe and hope that the jackets are used as much as possible, especially throughout the winter!”
