Positive ratings from homebuyers have earned Cardiff-based developer Lovell Homes a top award for customer satisfaction in an independent national survey.

The company has been presented with the Gold Award for Customer Satisfaction following an industry survey by customer experience and market research specialist In-house Research. Customers who bought a home from Lovell during 2015 were asked a series of questions, including whether they would recommend the company based on the overall experience of buying their home.

It found that 96 per cent of customers surveyed in South Wales and the South West were happy to recommend Lovell, earning the region the coveted Gold award.

“We’re thrilled to get such excellent feedback from our customers,” says Lovell regional sales manager Julie Bowen. “Buying a home is probably the most important purchase any of us will ever make, so making sure our customers are delighted through every stage of the process is always our priority. The survey highlights our focus on ensuring that people who buy our homes are pleased both with their new property and with the customer service we have provided.”

In-house, which works with many of the major UK housebuilders, carries out its surveys by telephone with all customers contacted in order to get a fair and representative picture. Tom Weston, In-house head of client liaison, says: “It’s been a challenging year with legal completions higher than in 2014 and many builders struggling with increased volumes but overall customer satisfaction and recommendation scores have remained high. This shows a great deal of continued focus on the importance of customer satisfaction.”

Lovell, which is based locally at the Greenmeadow Springs business park, Tongwynlais, Cardiff, is currently working on a number of high-profile schemes in South Wales. They include The Mill in Canton, a landmark development just to the west of the city centre, where in partnership with the Tirion Group, Lovell will create 800 top-quality one- and two-bedroom apartments and two-, three- and four-bedroom homes in a riverside location. One of the largest city regeneration programmes in Wales, the development of the 53-acre former Arjo Wiggins Paper Mill site, in Canton, Cardiff, will deliver a brand-new sustainable community featuring houses and apartments as well as providing new business, commercial and recreational space. The first homes are set to be available in 2017, contact 02920 606 766 to register your interest or for more details.

Lovell is also working on the second phase of the 250-home, £28 million Loftus Garden Village development in Newport, for Seren Group creating a high-quality modern garden village on a 16-acre site near the city centre. The first completed homes were handed over to Seren Group in November 2015.
