Jackie Anderson, 56, and her husband Nick Anderson, 61, were the first residents to move into the Lovell All Saints Green development in Stradbroke in June. The couple relocated from Hertfordshire after wanting to move closer to family and friends, enjoy a rural setting, and have found their perfect home in the picturesque village of Stradbroke in mid-Suffolk.
Jackie and Nick have a daughter in Norwich and friends in Norfolk, so would spend a lot of time in the area. They were out for a drive with friends when they stumbled across the development at All Saints Green, Suffolk, and saw the house they wanted. Jackie says: “We saw our dream home, it was in a perfect position and we really liked the village. We saw the Lovell sales executive, Mandy, sold our house and within 14 weeks after seeing it for the first time, we had moved in! We took a leap of faith but it has completely paid off – we love the house and area. We wanted to relocate due to family, and the area we had lived in for 40 years had got busier. We lived near an airport, and just wanted something quieter.”
The couple were living in a four bedroom home but have downsized to a three bedroom home. Jackie said: “We have more value for money too in Suffolk and Stradbroke is just a lovely village. It has two great pubs, shops, a butchers and bakers, a gym and lots of beautiful countryside walks. Plus, we go to Diss to go shopping and love Southwold beach. We have kept all the rooms as bedrooms as we have our children come to stay and I love the kitchen diner best as it feels more social.”
Jackie and Nick have always lived in older properties but are enjoying a new build home. “Other homes we have lived in needed work, but it was amazing to just unpack and not have to do any work. We moved to improve our quality of life and we certainly have done that. I would absolutely recommend Lovell to others and am looking forward to meeting more of the community when they move in.”
