Enjoy your home by the seaside at Hopton-on-Sea

Have you ever thought of moving to a new home in a village by the seaside?

The new Bowlers Green development from Lovell is in Hopton-on-Sea, which sits right on the Norfolk coast and has miles of sandy beaches to enjoy.

The village is located south of the popular seaside town of Great Yarmouth with plenty of amenities like cosy village pubs, convenience stores, schools, a medical centre as well as two holiday villages, making it perfect for families and young couples as well as those looking to retire.

As a historic seaside village, Hopton-on-Sea provides a quiet, homely feel but, throughout the year, sees many people enjoying the attractive surroundings and amenities.

Hopton beach is wonderful, with golden sand that stretches along the coast towards Lowestoft and runs alongside low, grassy cliffs that provide several walks for those who enjoy being active whilst enjoying lovely views.

For a fun, family evening out, The Turnstone and The White Hart are two of the homely pubs within the village and offer a family-friendly atmosphere, whilst serving good homemade food plus ales, ciders, wines, beer and much more.

St Margaret’s Church is the oldest building in the parish. Built in the 14th century and burned down in 1865, it is currently being restored to form a cultural centre for the village. Throughout the summer, the grounds are well worth exploring when delicious strawberries and cakes are often provided.

The famous Potters Resort hosts the World Indoor Bowling Championships every year with players, press and spectators staying in the village for one of the biggest events in the bowls calendar. It’s a great event for residents to spectate!

The village is home to Hopton Church of England Primary Academy and Stradbroke Primary School is located a few miles north of the village. For high schools, Hopton-on-Sea has Cliff Park Ormiston Academy and Ormiston Venture Academy close by.

Transport links are excellent. The village is close to the A47 trunk road and regular bus services run to the fine city of Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and beyond, while trains services run from Great Yarmouth railway station to Norwich for main line services to London and the Midlands.
