Leading developer Lovell is continuing to support the Doncaster community by sponsoring the Doncaster Rovers Belles Regional Talent Club for the current season.
Doncaster Rovers Belles RTC was founded in 1969 and has been a club for many well-known names within women’s football, with numerous players performing at national level. The club looks to provide an experience to all players that provides them with the tools to potentially progress to the professional game.
The club, which relies upon sponsorship from local businesses to keep it running, has 63 players from U10s to U16s. Lovell has sponsored the club £800 for the year which has been put towards new kits for the season.
Robert Adams, regional managing director at Lovell, said: “We aim to support local community groups and organisations as much as we can and that is why we’re delighted to support the Doncaster Rovers Belles RTC for the current season.
"We understand the difficulties that sporting teams have faced during the ongoing pandemic, which is why we're thrilled to be able to support the Doncaster Rovers Belles RTC during this difficult time and allow their players to continue enjoying the sport they love. Once lockdown restrictions are lifted, we hope the team can enjoy getting back to playing together, keeping fit and socialising with friends as they adapt to this 'new normal’”.
Chantelle Haigh, Club Manager at Doncaster Rovers Belles RTC, said: “We would like to thank Lovell for their sponsorship. Without such sponsorship we would have bare minimum funding to run our RTC where we provide an opportunity for elite players to be able to continue their journey on the Lionesses pathway.
“Not all players will become professional players, however with sponsorship we are now able to support players through coaching badges and also help with the holistic player development to allow us to support their education as well as their personal development. We have produced some successful players previously and will continue to do everything we can to keep doing this.”
