At Lovell, we don’t just build award-winning homes, we build communities. Wherever we build we look to have a positive impact and to engage with the local community, and St Edmund’s Park in Acle is no exception.

Lovell senior sales executive David Methold said: “I grew up in the area and understand Acle United Football Club is fundamental to the fabric of the village, so I’m delighted that Lovell can play a part this season. Sponsorship such as ours allows the club to keep progressing and we’ll be cheering them on as they go for another tilt at the league title.”

Formed over 100 years ago, Acle United Football Club is at the heart of the pretty Norfolk village, having played continuously since inception, pausing only for the two world wars. Playing in the Anglian Combination Premier Division, Acle United have had their fair share of success, winning the Sterry Cup (awarded to the Premier Division winner) four times in a row between the 2012/2013 season and 2015/2016 season. While the Senior team play in the Premier Division, the reserves play in Division Four. The club also has a selection of youth teams.

Current chairman of the club, and manager during the four-year run of successive Sterry Cup wins, Jim Timpson said: “Acle United Football Club are so pleased to be able to count on the support of Lovell Homes. Business sponsorship of grass roots football is vital to the survival of the game and to important community assets such as our club. The Lovell pitch-side banner will be proudly displayed at all our home games, alongside a full-page advertisement in our home programmes.”

Sixty-nine properties will be available for open market purchase at St Edmund’s Park, comprising two-, three- and four-bedroom houses, plus three bed bungalows. Show homes will be open at the end of October and a marketing suite is in place now; interested parties are advised to view early amid high levels of interest.

More details of St Edmund’s Park are available on the Lovell website.
