Lovell reveals plans for £15m contemporary homes development on Somerset coast
Lovell has revealed plans for 50 brand-new homes in a spectacular location overlooking the coast on the southern outskirts of Weston-super-Mare.
The £15 million development – Keepers Gate – will create aspirational homes on land at Wentwood Drive, nestled between the Bristol Channel coastline and the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Thirty-five three- and four-bedroom homes will be for open market sale by Lovell while 15 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes will be affordable properties for Liverty, the south-west’s largest housing association.
The two-year construction programme is set to start this winter, with the first homes set to become available for sale in December 2018. For updates on the new homes for sale and to register your early interest, please visit www.lovellnewhomes.co.uk or contact our sales team on 01934 331 882.
Lovell regional managing director Kate Rees says: “We’re thrilled to have acquired this fantastic site which is minutes from stunning Somerset countryside and just a short distance from the imposing sweep of Weston Bay, with views stretching across the Bristol Channel to Wales.
“Our new properties will make the most of their amazing setting, featuring light-filled contemporary interiors, perfect for modern lifestyles. We’re confident they will appeal to a range of purchasers, including first-time buyers, downsizers and families looking to upsize at Keepers Gate.
“As well as an impressive stretch of the North Somerset coastline on their doorstep, buyers will gain all the advantages of an established residential location on the fringes of this well-connected and characterful seaside town.” Lovell will create a number of training opportunities through the development, including apprenticeships and work placements, giving local people the chance to learn new skills by working on the construction programme.
