In 1972 we built and sold the first affordable partnership homes in Swindon. In 1983 we delivered our first design and build scheme, which led to the mixed tenure housing model that is now so familiar.

Morgan Sindall Group has a turnover of £2.4 billion and employs around 7000 people. They operate through six divisions: construction and infrastructure, fit-out, property services, partnership housing (Lovell), urban regeneration and investments.

Growing Up

Since 2001 Lovell has acquired Carillion Housing, BMS Property care and Powerminster. This added refurbishment, repairs and maintenance to our portfolio. In 2010 Lovell acquired the ongoing contracts and related assets of Connaught Partnerships. In January 2015, our responsive maintenance division rebranded as Morgan Sindall Property Services.

Consultation with residents begins the moment a scheme is initiated and carries on throughout the lifetime of the project. Interaction occurs on every level – working with local residents, schools, on community projects, employing local people and regularly taking on local apprentices.

Growing Up

It’s our people that really make a difference. We directly employ teams of architects, designers, developers, salespeople, tradesman, trainers, sustainability assessors, health and safety officials, resident liaison officers and customer care representatives. We take on around 20 apprentices every year and train them at our Craft Academy. Those with management ambitions go through our dedicated Management Development Academy.
