With excellent local travel connections, smart contemporary interiors and the availability of London Help to Buy, the new three and four-bedroom houses at The Electric Quarter in Ponders End, Enfield by Lovell Homes are set to create a buzz among homebuyers when the first collection of homes is released for sale on Saturday 2 September.

A new four-bedroom showhome will be open for viewing, showcasing the flexible and spacious interiors typical of the homes at The Electric Quarter. Prices will start from £474,995 for a three-bedroom house. If purchasing through London Help to Buy, a deposit of just 5% (£23,749) is required and the government will lend up to 40% of the purchase price (£189,998), which is interest free for five years. Homebuyers will then need to arrange a mortgage for the remainder (£284,997).

Simone Dhanjal, regional sales director at Lovell Homes, said: “With great travel links into central London and located close to the picturesque Hertfordshire countryside, these homes are a great choice for both young professionals and families. With many people struggling to afford a larger home in this popular area, we’re pleased to offer help through the London Help to Buy scheme.”

Set to become a thriving new neighbourhood in North London, The Electric Quarter comprises a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom houses, which are designed to Lifetime Home Standards and the great specification associated with Lovell Homes; fully-fitted kitchens, integrated appliances and elegant white bathroom suites with ceramic wall tiling are all included as standard.

The four-bedroom showhome, The Eight, has a smart red-brick façade offset by dark grey roof tiles and Juliet balconies to the four upper-level anterior windows. The interior provides 1,420 sq ft of flexible space arranged over three levels. A large dining room spans the full width of the rear ground floor of the house, with French doors which open out on to the garden. The open plan space leads into a kitchen, while a cloakroom and additional storage are accessed from the main hallway.

On the first floor is a well-proportioned living room and the first of four bedrooms, which benefits from an en suite bathroom. Three further bedrooms are on the second floor, together with a shower room. Bike storage and a parking space are located outside the front of the home.

When complete in 2019, The Electric Quarter will provide new community facilities including shops, a library and nursery, as well as mature landscaping with pretty tree-lined avenues throughout the development.
