Oakfield Grange event has the answer to all your Help to Buy questions

On Saturday, 23 and Sunday, 24 March, an independent financial advisor will be available at the company’s Oakfield Grange development from 10am to 5pm both days to talk about all aspects of the Welsh Government scheme.

Help to Buy – Wales is available on new-build homes priced up to £300,000. It allows buyers to purchase their home with a five per cent deposit with the Welsh Government providing a shared equity loan (which is interest-free for the first five years) for up to 20 per cent of the purchase price and the buyer taking out a mortgage on the remainder. Both first-time buyers and existing homeowners can take advantage of the scheme.

“If you’ve heard about Help to Buy – Wales but aren’t sure if it’s right for you, come along and benefit from some free, expert advice,” says Lovell regional sales director Julie Bowen. “Our independent mortgage advisor will be there to explain exactly how it works, talk you through the application process and show how the scheme could assist you with buying your first home or moving up the ladder to a larger property.”

Help to Buy - Wales is currently available on selected homes at Oakfield Grange. Using the scheme, the detached Keats family home, with parking, which has a full price of £224,995 could be yours with a deposit of £11,250 and a £168,746 mortgage with the help of a £44,999 equity loan from the Government. Help to Buy – Wales is also being offered on the detached three-bedroom Chaucer and Dryden house styles, which start from a full price of £234,995 for the Chaucer and £250,995 for the Dryden. For those looking to move up the property ladder, the four-bedroom Gaskell, a detached family home with single garage and parking, is also available with the Help to Buy – Wales scheme at a purchase price of £298,995.

Situated just over a mile south of the centre of Cwmbran, Oakfield Grange has excellent transport connections, only a 15-minute car journey from Newport and 30 minutes from Cardiff. Convenient access to the M4 – avoiding the need to go through the Brynglas tunnels and the fact that the Severn Bridge crossing is now toll-free – has further increased the development’s appeal for commuters. Local attractions include the Cwmbran Centre shopping and leisure complex, which brings together 170 stores. There’s a wide choice of primary schools locally, in addition to Cwmbran High School and Caerleon Comprehensive School.

The marketing suite and three-bedroom Keats and four-bedroom Hardy show homes at Oakfield Grange, Cwmbran, Torfaen NP44 3FP are open every day from 10am to 5pm. Find out more by calling the Lovell sales team on 01633 739 178.
