A hundred visitors and a string of sales marked a hugely successful launch weekend for the first show apartment and new marketing suite at high-profile Cardiff housing development, The Mill, Canton

Five homes at this new urban village just ten minutes from central Cardiff were snapped up over the launch with an additional four reservations on homes not yet released for sale, as homebuyers flocked to admire the stylish interiors of the stunning two-bedroom show property.

VIPs from the partners behind the development, which is bringing 800 new homes to the former Arjo Wiggins paper mill site, also joined forces at a pre-launch event to celebrate the opening of the brand-new marketing suite. The Mill will feature 358 homes for open market sale by Lovell and 442 homes for rent which will be managed by Cadwyn Housing Association for the Tirion Group. The scheme is going ahead with the support of the Welsh Government and financial backing from the Principality Building Society, and is being developed by the Tirion Group in partnership with Lovell.

“The Mill continues to attract a remarkable response from home seekers who love the riverside location, so close to the city centre, and are even more impressed when they see the incredible style and build quality on display in our stunning show apartment,” says regional sales director Julie Bowen.

Following the success of the launch, just a handful of homes are currently available at The Mill, starting from £270,000 with Help to Buy – Wales Equity Loan available on some properties.
