Lovell helps create new and improved facilities at Warwick’s Packmores Centre

7th, July

Lovell has helped create much-needed new facilities for Warwick’s Packmores Community Centre.

The work to improve the facilities is part of a programme which is being coordinated by Warwick District Council and Lovell.

The Community groups who regularly use the centre as a meeting point such as parent and toddler and youth groups, and weekly knit and natter and lunch clubs now have a refurbished community room and a brand new kitchen with improved storage.

Lovell site manager James Harding; Lovell resident liaison officer Tony McIntosh; the Mayor of Warwick, Councillor Stephen Cross; Dominic Bias & Dan Madeley of RAFT Property Maintenance.

Refurbishment director Carl Yale comments:  “The Packmores Community Centre plays an extremely important part in the lives of local people and we’re delighted to have been able to assist with improving its facilities, in partnership with the Council and supported by our subcontractor partners. Lovell is working with Warwick District Council helping deliver a large-scale refurbishment for council homes. Supporting community organisations wherever we can is a key part of our commitment to extend the positive effects of that work as widely as possible and leave a lasting legacy of benefits.”

The Mayor of Warwick and Warwick District Councillor Stephen Cross adds:  “I’m very pleased to see these very practical improvements being made for the many local groups who use the Packmores Centre as an important social and community hub.”
