“Fantastic” response to The Mill’s Christmas gift appeal

People living and working in one of Cardiff’s newest communities have donated dozens of gifts for local homeless people this Christmas.

Forty present packs filled with items such as warm hats and scarves, toiletries, festive food and other gifts will be handed out on Christmas Eve to homeless people across Cardiff city centre.

Developer Lovell, Tirion Homes and Cadwyn Housing Association – the partners behind The Mill, a landmark new homes development in Canton, west Cardiff – joined together to collect the presents.

“There’s been a fantastic response to the gift appeal from staff working for Lovell, Tirion and Cadwyn as well as from residents at The Mill,” says Lovell community coordinator Bernadette Vickery.

“We’d like to thank everyone for their thoughtfulness and generosity. It’s lovely that so many people wanted to help make a difference for local homeless people.”
