Management training
At the Lovell Management Development Academy, we go out of our way to focus on each individual's strengths and to give everyone real choice about the management direction they wish to take.
The HNC in Construction is the ultimate focus and can lead directly to fulfilling careers or can be used as a step towards a university degree that leads to a career in the construction professions. Of course, all trainees will have been working with Lovell for two years during their training period and the vast majority stay with the company in the specialism they have chosen and in which they are excelling.
We expect our trainees to have a passionate commitment to a career in the construction industry and a willingness to learn. In return, we offer excellent teaching at the residential Management Development Academy, located within Stephenson College, Leicestershire. Lovell funds all residential expenses and gives every trainee a laptop. Every individual also has a mentor from within the business to help support their development.
A very high completion rate reflects the strength of the programme and the commitment of its students. We see individuals who become management trainees as potentially crucial members of our team for years to come.
The qualifications you will work towards are:
-
BTEC National Award
-
BTEC National Certificate
-
BTEC National Diploma
-
HNC & NVQ Level 3
We expect candidates for management to hold GCSE Maths, English and Science at Grade C or above plus at least two A Levels at Grade C or above. Holding the Construction & Built Environment Diploma at Higher Level or above would be an advantage.
