It all starts with the setting up a new site, where I'll find out about the local area, research local trends and do market research on similar properties to those we are selling. I then continue to report on local competition every month. I deal with enquiries over the phone and face-to-face, walk people around the site and explain the show unit. We will view actual flats if available and safe on site.

Careers in construction case study - Customer Care Manager

I look after our customers and deal with their issues, both open market residents and housing association tenants. This may involve arranging visits to their homes to see the problem they have and then discussing repair issues with different departments and contractors. I have to chase information and materials for planned work, and I ensure the workload is distributed to our direct maintenance team. I also have to deal with emergency issues, such as floods and blocked drains.
