When it comes to affordable homes, we are well used to unique demands such as special needs units, lifetime homes and environmentally sustainable homes. It also helps many clients that we already own a considerable amount of land and have the funding and expertise available to make economical, strategic land purchases on their behalf.
Sustainable homes are playing an increasingly prominent role in many contracts and in recent years we have used a wide variety of construction methods and technologies to meet the requirements of the Code for Sustainable Homes. We have extensive experience of delivering Code for Sustainable Homes level 4 and above, with the whole process being handled by our in-house Sustainability Department. We recently delivered the first zero carbon homes ever in Bradford as part of the first housing scheme awarded by the Homes and Communities Agency's (HCA) Delivery Partner Panel.
Mixed tenure, of course, is perhaps what Lovell is best known for – and understandably so. For nearly 40 years, we have been generating belief and pride in communities through the careful - yet imaginative - design of mixed tenure developments. Mixed tenure often also includes community buildings as well as homes, which we are able to provide thanks to our open market sales. Such is our vast experience and expertise, we are able to maximise land values, which is key to providing affordable units to residents.
Once building and refurbishment work is done, we can establish planned maintenance contracts, which are fulfilled by both our in-house experts and carefully-selected supply chain; and for reactive maintenance, we call upon our specialist division, Lovell Respond. Our dedicated Customer Service Centre is open 365 days a year, while Respond's areas of expertise include general day-to-day responsive repairs, void property refurbishments, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repair.
