Lovell site manager leads "The Way" by scooping prestigious award.
Hosted by the NHBC, the leading standard setting and consumer protection body for new homes in the UK, the awards offer builders the opportunity to gain independent verification of the effectiveness of their health and safety practices. John was awarded the accolade for his work at £30 million housing development The Way, Beswick, where he created an exceptionally safe environment for his team. Nigel Yates, regional director for Lovell, says: "The award is reflective of John's hard work and motivation to create a safe environment for his team at The Way. Lovell has always placed great focus on the safety of its workforce and this recognition supports the health and safety culture we have built up within the organisation." Lovell impressed judges with its commitment to improving and promoting health, safety and wellbeing in the work place, which has been developed throughout the business. Simon Mantle, group health and safety policy manager at NHBC comments: "As the house building industry emerges from a difficult economic period, it's the perfect time to recognise site managers who have maintained exceptional health and safety standards on site. "We have been really impressed by the standard of health and safety that we have encountered throughout the judging process. These awards play an important role in encouraging best practice and driving forward health and safety standards. Ultimately, improvements in best practice have the added benefit of improving the end product for homeowners too." |
