Warwick District Council chooses Lovell for disability adaptation programme

Warwick District Council has awarded Lovell a contract worth £1.2 million over four years to carry out disability adaptation work. The contract, which is renewable annually, was awarded following a competitive procurement process.

Throughout the programme, Lovell will undertake a range of work to properties including the installation of level access showers and / or wet rooms, lifts and access ramps.

Jameel Malik, head of Housing and Property Services, Warwick District Council, says: “To meet the increasing demand for disabled adaptations we have set higher performance standards in this new contract and look forward to delivering this programme for our tenants in partnership with Lovell.”

“We are very pleased to be continuing our partnership with Warwick District Council through this new contract,” says Lovell regional director David Gough. “We look forward to using the combined expertise of the council and Lovell in housing refurbishment to carry out these improvements which will make a real difference for residents.” Lovell began work last year on a separate scheme for Warwick District Council refurbishing kitchens and bathrooms at council properties.
