New apprentice for Stoke housing development |
|
Lovell is celebrating National Apprenticeship Week by taking on a new apprentice on its Stoke developments in Weston Coyney and on Ridgway Road, where 91 new homes are about to be built. This is the latest apprentice the company has taken on recently. Over the past couple of years, while many employers have stalled their recruitment and apprenticeship programmes because of the recession, Lovell in the Midlands has continued to recruit apprentices across the trades. Not only has this ensured Lovell has a steady flow of high-quality tradespeople but it has also helped boost local employment and raise community aspirations. The new apprentice will start work on the ongoing Weston Heights development, which is being delivered through Compendium Living, and will then work on Lovell’s new housing development on Ridgway Road in the City Waterside area. The Homes & Community Agency and the City Council have invested £3m to enable this scheme to get off the ground. Lovell will build 91 high quality, spacious new homes and the area will become a beautiful canal-side development. |
