Lovell staff pitch and putt for charity

Lovell's annual golf tournament raises record £10,000 for local charities

South Wales based housing developer Lovell has hosted its 18th annual charity golf tournament and the budding golfers amongst its staff have raised £10,000 for four charities in Wales.

The funds raised will be shared by four local charities: Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre in Wales; Cancer Research Wales; Shelter Cymru and Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice.

Generous Lovell contractor partners, suppliers, consultants and staff gave up their time to tee off at Whitchurch Golf Club in Cardiff, in the most successful charity golf tournament since it began 18 years ago.

Event organiser and Lovell regional sales manager in South Wales Kate Rees says: “Many thanks must go to all who took part in the golf event and to our supply chain who have generously supported the event over the years. This was a fantastically rewarding day, made even better by the knowledge that we have raised such a substantial amount for four deserving charities. We all feel like we have scored a hole-in-one!”

Gail Griffiths, fundraising manager at Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales says: “The golf day is enjoyed every year by all who participate and four charities have also benefited from this great event. The day helps Bobath to make a difference to children in Wales who have cerebral palsy. We very much appreciate the continued support of Lovell and would like to thank all those who gave so generously on the day.”
