Lovell spreads Christmas cheer in Bassaleg

Lovell has been helping a local community centre to raise funds this Christmas by donating a 32 inch LCD TV to Graig Community Centre’s festive raffle, the highlight of its annual Christmas Lights Switch On.

The Graig Community Centre in Bassaleg is mostly run by volunteers from the local community. It currently houses a variety of local groups and organisations from indoor bowling, to martial arts classes, keep fit, art and crafts and church services.

The money for the raffle will benefit three local charities: St David's Foundation Hospice Care, St Anne’s Hospice & the South Gwent Breast Cancer Support Group.

Sian Davies, Graig Community Council Clerk says “We are thrilled and grateful to Lovell for the donation of the wonderful 32 inch LCD TV, which helped us increase our ticket sales and raise more money from the event. We would like to thank Lovell for this generous donation during the festive season.”

Nick Kurobasa, regional director of Lovell in Wales says “We strive to become part of the communities we are work in. As part of the Bassaleg community, we have seen the good work the Graig Community Centre does. We’re proud to be contributing to the event and the excellent local charities.”

Councillor Raymond Caston came along to receive the award and thanked Lovell for the kind donation.
