Lovell, the affordable housing specialist, has appointed a new business development manager for the South West region to help drive the company's expansion in the area - a key growth market for the firm. John Parry joins Lovell from Knightstone Housing Association and will be based at Lovell’s Emersons Green office in Bristol.
“We are focusing on acquiring several sites within an hour’s drive of Bristol over the course of the next year so that we have a programme of sites going through planning which should start to grow our business in 2012”. The South West is a priority market for Lovell, part of the Morgan Sindall Group, which has plans to double in size across the UK in the next five years. John’s appointment further strengthens Lovell’s presence in the South West region. The firm has, so far, enjoyed a strong 2011 with highlights including: the winning of a £7.8 million contract with Somer Community Housing Trust to build 74 new affordable homes in the Southlands area of Bath; and the winning of a £4.3 million contract to build 55 homes in Church Street, Southwick, near Trowbridge, Wiltshire, with partner, GreenSquare. John adds: “This is an extremely important time in Lovell’s development and the South West region is poised to play a key role in the company’s growth. We have a great team in place here in Bristol and the South West. They have built a reputation for high quality in standards and service over recent years. I’m excited at the challenge ahead.” |

“My key focus is to continue to ensure that we optimise the provision of affordable housing in Bristol and the surrounding areas as well as to acquire more sites on which to build both affordable housing and our own homes for sale” says John.
