A local man has won a prestigious award commending the pride he has in his job as a site manager for East Anglia-based housing developer Lovell.
The Dolphin Grove development, situated off Nelson Street in Norwich, is made up of three houses and nine flats and was developed by Lovell for Orbit Housing, in partnership with Norwich City Council and the Homes and Communities Agency. Alan says: “It's been an interesting project both technically and logistically. It’s great for everyone’s hard work to be recognised in this way. “The site is within a very built up area and therefore the disturbance to local residents and businesses had to be kept to a minimum. All this has been achieved to a high standard and within a very fast build programme. “The development has also been praised for its proactive efforts and health and safety achievements. Richard Bateman, my assistant, and I are pleased to have won Lovell’s regional Site Health & Safety Award for our efforts. This, combined with the NHBC award, is a great result for all involved.” Paul Bonnett, assistant development director at Orbit Homes, says: “We are pleased that Alan Browne’s hard work to deliver what is a first-class scheme, providing much needed housing for the local community for years to come, has been recognised by this prestigious award.” |

Alan Browne, from Norwich, who has worked for Lovell for the past five years, received one of 400 national awards for his dedicated work on Lovell’s Dolphin Grove site in the annual Pride in the Job Awards organised by the NHBC (National House-Building Council).
