Lovell commits to major new housing development in Brecon

Lovell has acquired a new site, Maes Halley, at Parc Dewi Sant, Llanfaes, Brecon, upon which it will build and sell 53 brand new 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes.

The development will be complemented by a further 16 homes available at a subsidised rental rate with Wales & West Housing Association (WWHA).

The new 69-home contract is worth an estimated £10.6 million.

Kate Rees, regional sales manager at Lovell in Wales and the South West, says: "We are delighted to have acquired this new site and are looking forward to using our expertise to deliver this development which will provide stunning homes in a beautiful setting."

The site is a prime location, at the heart of the countryside in Brecon Beacons National Park. Brecon town centre is conveniently situated just a short walk away too.

Anne Hinchey, chief executive fo WWHA, says: "This development is another example of very successful partnership working between Wales & West Housing Association, Powys County Council and Lovell to bring more much-needed high-quality affordable housing to Powys."

Lovell is linking up with local estate agent McCartney's to allow customers to register early interest in the development.

"We have a lot of interest and we anticipate launching the first new homes for sale early in the autumn," says Kate Rees. "We really think the new development will be a worthy addition to the local community in Brecon and are looking forward to working on a number of local community initiatives too."

For those wishing to register interest in the homes available at Maes Halley, the sales hotline number is 02920 814081.
