Lovell, which is currently constructing the nearby Maes Halley development, is committed to benefiting the communities it works with.

Nick Kurobasa, regional director of Lovell in Wales said: “It is a pleasure to donate these books to Llanfaes School. Health and safety is something every child must learn and we are pleased to be giving books which bring the topics to life. Lovell is committed to working with the local people and the children in Brecon as we create a new community at Maes Halley.”

Ms Karen Lawrence, headteacher at Llanfaes School added: “The children are delighted with the books. They are learning important safety messages without even noticing!”

Lovell is also providing health and safety talks to local schoolchildren and donating raffle prizes to the community centre as part of its outreach activities in Brecon.

Maes Halley is a development of 69 two, three and four bedroom homes - 53 to be sold on the open market and 16 for intermediate rent through Wales & West Housing Association.
