Lovell ‘Deck the Halls’ of Tronador School

Lovell is spreading festive cheer in London this Christmas, by donating Christmas trees to Globe Academy’s Tronador Lower School in Elephant and Castle.

Steve Coombs of Lovell says “Lovell knows that any housing development isn’t just about building houses, it’s about building communities too. We always reach out to the communities in which we are active to benefit the local people. At this time of year it is even more special to spread a little Christmas cheer.”

The gesture builds on a relationship between the school and Lovell which began in October with a three day project educating 120 children about health and safety on building sites, culminating in a visit to the local housing development at Harper Road, which is currently under construction. Tronador is the primary school of the Globe Academy.

Sandra White of the Globe Academy says “The gift of the Christmas trees has not only lit up the schools but really brought to life the holiday spirit for the children.”

Lovell is currently constructing the Harper Road development which will deliver 72 new high quality affordable homes (67 flats and five houses) to Elephant and Castle. The project is due for completion in June 2012.
