Development of outstanding new homes in Dudley kick-started

Housebuilder Lovell and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) have joined together to kickstart a new phase of development at Priory Park, Dudley.

£1.5 million is being invested through the HCA to build 53 new homes on the Lovell scheme, which will deliver a total of 109 new homes for the town.

15 of the new homes are also available under the government’s Homebuy Direct scheme, aimed at helping first time buyers to get a foot on the property ladder.

Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town to be quiet and peaceful, but still close enough to walk into the centre of Dudley with all of its facilities and entertainment, Lovell’s Priory Park development is expected to be a popular choice for people looking for a new home in the Black Country.

David Gough, Regional Director for Lovell, said:

“We are delighted to be providing high quality new houses for sale again in Dudley. The HCA’s investment has helped us to build some much-needed new homes for sale to the local Dudley community. It really is a prime site, with the town centre just minutes away. This new phase of building safeguards local jobs and we will also continue to work closely with local schools, colleges and other agencies to ensure we source additional job applicants locally - so these new houses benefit local people in many different ways.”

Paul Gascoine, investment and regeneration manager for the HCA Midlands, said:

“The HCA is pleased to have played a part in kick-starting this scheme’s second phase, bringing more high quality, affordable housing to Dudley. We have worked closely with Dudley Council and Lovell to also ensure the scheme provides more jobs and training for local people.”
