2009 Safety award hat-trick for Lovell in the Midlands

Lovell has completed a health and safety hat-trick by scooping a coveted award from The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for the third year in a row.

The company has won the Gold RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety Award for achieving high standards of health and safety management at its offices and construction sites in the Midlands.

It is the third year in succession that the company has achieved the Gold Award in recognition of its outstanding health and safety performance. The RoSPA awards are held annually to reward companies which demonstrate that they have effective health and safety management systems in place and are focused on maintaining the highest levels possible.

Lovell health and safety manager Ron Spence received the Gold Award on the company’s behalf at a ceremony held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel.

David Rawlins, RoSPA awards manager, says: “Lovell has shown a commitment to protecting the health and well-being of its employees and others. Entering the RoSPA Awards reinforces the message that good health and safety is good for business, and clearly demonstrates an organisation’s dedication to improving performance in this crucial area.”

“To win the Gold RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety Award for a third year running is an excellent achievement and shows our continued dedication to achieving the highest possible standards of health and safety,” says Lovell regional health, safety and environmental manager Richard Abrahams. “I’d like to extend my thanks to every member of staff and our subcontractor partners for making this possible.”
