Information is gathered about visitors to our website and marketing suites in order to fulfil requests for certain services, to provide update services, track usage and develop services. This privacy policy outlines how such information is gathered and how it is used.

The information we collect

You are not required to provide information on the public areas of our website or in our marketing suites in order to access our services. However, you may choose to provide us with certain information about yourself, such as your contact details, so that we can respond to your requests for information.

How we use your information

Our marketing suites and several areas of the Lovell website offer visitors the chance to submit personal details to receive access to specific information and services. In such instances, we will only use the information you provide for the purposes indicated at the point of capture. These include, for example:

To follow up a visit to a marketing suite
To progress the purchase of Lovell new home
To refer you, with your express permission, to our Independent Financial Advisors

Where contact information is provided, we may use this information to telephone, email or write to you about developments or other services which we think may be of interest to you.

The information you provide may also be shared between regions within Lovell Partnerships and their selected business partners to enable us to respond to your enquiries and requests more effectively and efficiently, and to carry out customer satisfaction surveys. We will not, in any instance, sell your information.

If the information you provide is to be used for any other purposes this will be stated, along with the opportunity to opt out in line with current data protection legislation (see below).

Correcting and updating personal information

Lovell offers visitors the opportunity to correct or update personal information collected via this website. Details of how to do this are provided at the point of registration for each service.

Data protection, information sharing and disclosure

Lovell will ensure that all personal data is held securely, and processed, including sharing and disclosure, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Following your request for information, Lovell or its servant and agents, may hold information about you which it may use for marketing and research purposes (unless you choose to opt out as indicated at the time of providing your details).

From time to time such information may be passed to other companies within the Morgan Sindall Group, its agents and carefully selected third parties.

You have the right to request details of any information Lovell may hold about you (for which we may make a reasonable charge) and to have any inaccuracies corrected. Requests for such information or notification of inaccuracies should be made in writing, enclosing proof of identity, and should again be addressed to the company secretary at the above address.

Log files and usage tracking

The Lovell website uses IP addresses (the internet address of your computer) and browser type/version information to analyse trends and usage, administer the site and gather broad geographic information for aggregate use. None of the data collected is linked to personally-identifiable information.

While we may share summaries of our log file data with key partners involved in the development and maintenance of our website, we will not share any data that could identify an individual person.

Use of cookies

A cookie is a small text file containing a unique identifier that is placed on your computer’s hard drive when you visit a website. They do not damage your system or files in any way.

Session cookies are not used on the Lovell website. However, for those users registering with the site (for example in the New homes for sale section of the website) a tracking cookie is used to store login information to automatically allow users to login on subsequent visits to the site. These cookies do not collect any personally-identifiable information.
