ROSPA Gold Award Occupational Health and Safety 2008 – Regional Office

Cardiff-based affordable housing developer and regeneration specialist Lovell has won a leading safety award from RoSPA, The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. The company, which has offices in Gwaelod-y-Garth, Cardiff, has won the Gold RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety Award for maintaining high standards of health and safety management at its construction sites and offices across south Wales. The RoSPA awards are presented to companies which demonstrate they have effective health and safety management systems in place and are focused on achieving high performance standards.   The Gold Award was presented to Lovell regional health, safety and environmental manager Tom Davies at a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, Birmingham.
RoSPA awards manager David Rawlins says: “Lovell has shown a commitment to protecting the health and well-being of its employees and others. We hope other businesses and organisations will follow its lead and strive for continuous improvement in health and safety management.” “This award underlines the company’s commitment to keeping both our workforce and members of the public safe,” says Lovell regional director Nick Kurobasa. “The award recognises the hard work of our health, safety and environmental manager Tom Davies and the support of our staff and subcontractor partners in ensuring that we maintain consistently high standards of health and safety.”
