Considerate Constructors Scheme Silver Award 2007 - Valleys to Coast Main Improvement Programme

The Considerate Constructors Scheme Awards are designed to recognise and reward those who have demonstrated exceptional levels of consideration against the scheme's Code of Considerate Practice.

This project involved the refurbishment of older residential units at Caerau and Bettws in the county borough of Bridgend. This award particularly recognised the efforts of Lovell in liaising with the local community, ensuring that issues such as social and ethnic needs, and pet issues were respected, and building flexibility into the programme of work to ensure that matters such as hospital visits was accommodated, to help to alleviate tenant anxiety.

The award also recognised our excellent commitment to training and development, through activities such as school visits, sponsorship of apprentices and management trainees, and provision of holiday schemes, such as decorating.
