Considerate Constructors Scheme Bronze Award 2007 - Ascot Drive

The Considerate Constructors Scheme Awards are designed to recognise and reward those who have demonstrated exceptional levels of consideration against the scheme's Code of Considerate Practice.

This project involved the construction of new private housing to extend an existing residential development at Baglan, Port Talbot. The award particularly commended our considerate approach to working with the local community, and our integrated safety, health and environmental policy.

It also highlighted our strong commitment to training and development, praising the attitude and enthusiasm of two young apprenticeships working on the project, and recognising the value in inviting pupils from local primary schools on site visits as a method of "sowing the seeds of interest in a construction industry career".
