What we expect of a Lovell apprentice

Lovell apprentices are expected to comply with the Terms and Conditions of Employment for the duration of the Apprenticeship Training Plan. These are as follows:

The Apprentice agrees to undertake training courses leading towards NVQ Level 2, as appropriate or recognised by the occupation.

The Apprentice shall endeavour to acquire the knowledge and skills of the occupation covered by the Agreement and shall attend approved training courses.

The Apprentice shall not jeopardise their own training or that of other Apprentices or the Employer's business, particularly in relation to good health and safety practices and good conduct, and shall co-operate with the Employer to promote the successful working out of the Apprenticeship.

The Apprentice shall produce, when requested by the Employer, attendance records and examination results.

The Apprentice must be punctual at all times and not absent from work without good reason.

The Apprentice must not wilfully waste, damage or injure the property, materials or goods of the Employer or any person on whose property they shall be working.

The Apprentice shall faithfully and diligently serve the Employer during the said term of the Apprenticeship and shall carry out the obligations of the Apprentice in accordance with the Terms of Employment and the National Working Rule Agreement for the Construction Industry.

The Apprentice agrees to be subject to the provisions of the Employer's disciplinary and grievance procedures and agrees to comply with the terms stated therein.The Employer reserves the right to amend these terms.

The Apprentice shall not, during the term of the Apprenticeship, undertake work of any kind on their own account for another party without the prior agreement or approval of the Employer.
