Case study - management trainee

Image of Shannon Davoren, a management trainee with Lovell, and two colleagues.Shannon Davoren (pictured right) is two years into a comprehensive five year structured training programme at the Lovell Management Development Academy. Her time is split between four departments: Surveying, On Site, Estimating and Development. She spends time learning how each one works, taking on active and important projects. Shannon comments:

"Since leaving school and joining Lovell Partnerships my career has made great progress, thanks in no small part to the support I have received from people at Lovell. I have achieved my HNC in Construction and been on numerous other training courses such as: C21 Course, Properties Misdescriptions Act, Timber Awareness Course and CDM Update Course.

"As a management trainee, I have experienced how most of the construction industry works and have gained an appreciation of how everyone comes together to get a job done. I also understand the important issues dealt with by each of the different departments. At the moment I would like to take my career into Quantity Surveying as I feel this really suits my talents."
