Name:Kenny Phillips Job title:Site operative What does your job involve?I deal with day to day deliveries, storage of deliveries, directing site traffic, monitoring health and safety on site and reporting issues, and I am a general point of contact on site. What qualifications did you start your career with?No specific qualifications, but I have nine years experience on construction sites. What qualifications have you gained while in this job?In the short time I have been with Lovell I have attended environmental awareness training courses and gained my Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card. What is the salary for this job?Around £7.30 an hour, with attendance bonus. What will be the next stage of your career?I really want to work my way up through the ranks: shortly I'll be training to operate the telescopic handler fork lift truck and after that, I hope to work up to foreman and assistant site manager. I know that Lovell will encourage and assist me in working towards my goals.
