What does your job involve?

I carry out site, office and workplace inspections and report on my findings. I train all levels of personnel in the region and advise senior management on matters of health and safety. I attend senior management meetings, investigate accidents and incidents and produce reports. I spend a lot of time assisting and advising site managers and contractors on matters of health and safety.

  • General school-leaving GCSEs (Ireland)

  • Construction design and management for planning supervisor (mAPs)

  • Asbestos safety management and sampling

  • Environmental auditor/co-ordinator

  • Training for trainers: discarded needles and drug related waste

  • Site managers safety training scheme

  • Slinging and lifting techniques

  • Crane safety (mobile crane inspection and testing)

  • CITB-accredited slinger/signaller instructor

  • Presentation skills

  • Lecturing techniques

£33,000 - £62,000

What will be the next stage of your career?

I have five years of my career to run before retiring, so I am happy in my present role.
