What does your job involve?

I look after our customers and deal with their issues, both open market residents and housing association tenants. This may involve arranging visits to their homes to see the problem they have and then discussing repair issues with different departments and contractors. I have to chase information and materials for planned work, and I ensure the workload is distributed to our direct maintenance team. I also have to deal with emergency issues, such as floods and blocked drains.

What qualifications did you start your career with?

  • Middle grade CSE (same as GCSE)

  • A decorating apprenticeship

What qualifications have you gained while in this job?

  • An ONC in Building (day release while working for 2 years)

  • HND in Building - (full time - I stopped working to complete this)

What is the salary for this job?

£22,000 - £28,000

What will be the next stage of your career?

I would like to expand our operations base and further improve the service within Lovell to our customers.
