What does your job involve?

I am involved in the refurbishment of houses, which involves renewing all pipework in a property and replacing and installing kitchen and bathroom suites. Having started out shadowing a plumber, I am now able to complete first and second fix jobs myself.

What qualifications did you start your career with?

• 10 GCSEs (7 A-Cs)

• 1 A Level (Business Studies)

What qualifications have you gained while in this job?

• CSCS health and safety qualifications

What is the salary for this job?

£8,000

What will be the next stage of your career?

I will complete my first two years at college and gain my hot and cold water qualifications. Then, hopefully, I will continue to my third year, when I could obtain my gas qualifications and CORGI registration.
