Yes, we are housebuilders. Indeed, we believe we are among the most skilled, creative and meticulous housebuilders in the country. However, building houses is the easy part. Making a major difference to communities across the UK is the real challenge – and it’s a challenge we always gladly accept.

Employees

Lovell has over 1,500 committed employees and refurbishes over 18,000 homes per year, most with residents in occupation. We are able to draw on our experience of hundreds of different projects from every part of the country but we are always meticulous in our assessment of local needs and we respond to them with a unique, holistic plan.

We aim to inspire local people to make sure the changes we initiate are just the beginning. We always aim to leave behind a thriving and proud community, pulling together to ensure its continued success.

Working with residents and tenants

Lovell is constantly searching for innovative ways to work with residents and tenants. We pride ourselves on working in partnership with residents and helping them in whatever way we can.

Lovell Choice

Lovell Choice enables first time buyers who live or work in the area to buy a two or three bedroom family home at just 70%-80% of its open market value. The local authority retains the remaining 20%-30% in the form of an interest-free loan repayable on the sale of the house. Buyers benefit from considerably lower mortgage repayments. If they find that at a later stage they can afford to buy the remaining 20% or 30% of their home, they can – but they are under no obligation. If they want to move from the property without buying that percentage, they can do that as well.

Local perspective 

Lovell is a wholly owned subsidiary of Morgan Sindall Group plc, the construction and regeneration group. This gives us the financial backing to take on projects with a high degree of size and complexity. However, with each of our eight regional businesses being fully autonomous, and each with a full team of experts, we also retain that crucial local perspective.

Compendium

Lovell also works in an urban renewal joint venture with The Riverside Group under the name Compendium Living.
